Vagabond Shoemakers expands in Asia with Tmall

Asia

The Swedish shoe brand known as Vagabond Shoemakers is making its way into the Asian market by opening a concept store on Tmall, a popular e-commerce site that belongs to the Alibaba Group in China.

The store idea begins with the footwear company's autumn/winter collection in 2023. Their goal is to expand their popularity in Asia by partnering with a new distributor in South Korea and selling their products through local retailers in Japan, in addition to opening their new concept store.

Anders Odén, the head of Vagabond Shoemakers, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement regarding their commitment to expanding their efforts into the Asian markets. He announced that the company is taking a significant stride forward in that direction with their launch on Tmall.

"Our products have gained a lot of attention worldwide, and we are committed to tailoring them to the local markets to reduce unnecessary transportation and promote sustainability."

Vagabond Shoemakers has grown to include clothing in addition to their line of shoes. They are now found in over 45 different markets, including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and many European countries.
