The Board of Investment (BOI) is actively organizing promotional events to underscore the potential of Thailand's electric car industry.
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) reports a significant rise in registrations for battery electric vehicles (BEVs). From January to May 2023, there were 33,365 BEV registrations, almost five times more than the same period last year. The growth in the local market, accompanied by government support such as tax and non-tax incentives and international promotional events organized by the BOI, has boosted foreign investors' confidence in Thailand as a manufacturing base. The recent BOI roadshows in Germany and France from June 18 to 23 have received positive feedback from entrepreneurs interested in the electric vehicle industry. (PRD)
