The fresh organization goes by the name xAI and comprises numerous engineers with prior experience at renowned establishments such as OpenAI and Google.

Previously, Mr. Musk has expressed his opinion that advancements in artificial intelligence should be temporarily halted, and the industry must be subjected to appropriate regulation.

He mentioned that the establishment was formed with the objective of "grasping the essence of existence".

The amount of capital the organization possesses, its precise goals, and the specific type of artificial intelligence it aims to prioritize remain uncertain.

According to the company's website, xAI aims to "comprehend the genuine essence of the cosmos."

The upcoming company will organize a Twitter Spaces conversation on Friday, possibly disclosing more information about its objectives.

Elon Musk was among the initial supporters of OpenAI, the organization responsible for developing ChatGPT, a widely used and debated language model. ChatGPT gained popularity for various purposes, including its assistance to students in completing writing assignments.

Nevertheless, the billionaire's connection with the firm has deteriorated. He has censured ChatGPT for demonstrating a progressive inclination.

In February, Mr Musk took to Twitter to express his desire for TruthGPT.

He also expresses disapproval of the management of ChatGPT and its strong connection with Microsoft.

Musk expressed his astonishment during a CNBC interview regarding the strange notion of a transition from a nonprofit and open-source entity to a for-profit and closed-source entity.

Back in March, Mr. Musk put his signature on an open letter requesting a temporary halt to "Huge AI Experiments," which has gathered approximately 33,000 endorsements so far.

During an interview with the BBC in April, Mr. Musk expressed that concerns about the safety of artificial intelligence had been troubling him for more than ten years.

"I believe it is necessary to create a governing body responsible for supervising AI to ensure that it does not pose any risks to the general population," he stated.

In addition, Mr. Musk has positioned himself as a contender against artificial intelligence (AI) companies regarding the information they employ to educate chatbots. These chatbots are software programs that acquire knowledge about human interaction by collecting vast amounts of data from different origins, which aids in enhancing their knowledge base and communication methods.

The billionaire thinks that a large volume of data from Twitter is collected without permission, and believes that the company should receive proper payment for it.

Mr. Musk acquired the microblogging platform in a multi-billion dollar agreement, following which he implemented extensive modifications that prompted numerous individuals to abandon the platform in objection. Some of those who departed were the acclaimed television producer behind shows like Grey's Anatomy and Bridgerton, Shonda Rhimes, as well as the well-known model Gigi Hadid and the comedic actor Stephen Fry.
