Framo AS Supplies Yinson With Submerged Turbine

Energy

Yinson Production will use Framo's Submerged Turbine technology to generate energy from waste cooling water. This will reduce their carbon footprint and cut CO2 taxes. YP is the first offshore operator to use this technology. Offshore installations use seawater to cool onboard operations. The Framo Submerged Turbine uses this flow to generate electric power for the offshore facility, reducing gas fuel consumption. Using this technology, emissions are reduced, CO2 tax burden is eased, and additional gas is available for sale. Two 1MW Framo Submerged Turbines are equivalent to the electricity for 1000 households. This technology is based on the design of the Framo SE pump, known for its robustness and reliability.

The Submerged Turbine can work for new projects and also for old ones. It doesn't matter what kind of seawater lift pump you have.

Framo AS makes pumps in Norway. They have three factories and a service center too.
