Cool Adata SSD With Self-Contained Water Cooling And 2 Fans

Solid-state drive

Adata came out with a new SSD. It has a unique feature - an active cooler. The cooler is a self-contained water cooling solution. Two tiny fans cool the circulating liquid. This helps to minimize SSD throttling. It's called Project NeonStorm and it's very flamboyant.

Companies are getting ready for Computex and releasing marketing materials. Adata has a long press release with new SSD solutions. They have two new drives, Project NeonStorm and Legend 970, that both use PCIe Gen5 x4 for fast transfer speeds on AMD and Intel platforms.

NeonStorm project has a liquid cooling system. The storage device has a boxy design. The liquid cools the SSD controller and NAND. Copper pipes are visible in the pictures. There is a bubble indicating liquid in the structure.

The fans in this device are not visible. CotCowLand says they are on the other side of the cooler. This AiO SSD does not need to be connected to a bigger cooling system. Adata says the performance numbers are good. They say it can read at 14,000 MB/s and write at 12,000 MB/s under the XPG brand.

The Adata Legend 970 Gen5 SSD is designed normally. Adata says it is better than the previous Legend device. It uses big fans and aluminum fins. The Legend 970 can read and write at 10,000 MB/s.

At Computex, Adata will show its two PCIe Gen5 SSDs and other tech gear like storage, memory, and laptops. Also, XPG's e-sports chewing gum and chocolate sticks will be on display. If you need energy, head to XPG's booth.
