Huawei unveils latest AI model as ChatGPT boom rolls on
TAIPEI -- Huawei Technologies unveiled a fresh iteration of its cloud computing services' artificial intelligence system, demonstrating its commitment to staying in step with the ongoing surge in generative AI triggered by ChatGPT. This development comes amidst the Chinese company's ongoing challenges due to a strict U.S. crackdown, leading to restricted access to crucial computing hardware.
Huawei Cloud, the division responsible for providing cloud computing solutions within the company, announced that their artificial intelligence (AI) model operates in a distinct manner in comparison to Open AI's ChatGPT. Open AI's ChatGPT is a chatbot that offers responses to questions and generates text prompts that imitate human-like replies. In contrast, Huawei Cloud's newly developed Pangu Model 3.0 takes a unique approach by catering to various industries' requirements and resolving issues in areas such as operations, product research and development (R&D), and software engineering. This demonstrates the company's commitment to addressing specific industry needs using their advanced AI technology.
