BERLIN - A press conference takes place after the Governing Council meeting of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt at 1230 GMT. BERLIN - The Governing Council of the European Central Bank holds a monetary policy meeting in Frankfurt. TOKYO - The Bank of Japan conducts its Monetary Policy Meeting which runs until July 28.

On Tuesday, August 1st, the Bank of Japan published the notes from their discussion on monetary policy that took place on June 15th and 16th at 23:50 GMT in Tokyo.

On Thursday, August 3, the Bank of England will make an official announcement regarding the interest rates and will also release the minutes of their meeting. This will happen at 1100 GMT. At the same time, the Bank of England will also publish their Monetary Policy Report. On Sunday, August 6, the Bank of Japan will disclose a summary of opinions expressed by board members during their policy meeting that took place on July 27-28. This information will be available at 2350 GMT. Moving on to Wednesday, August 16, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will hold their Monetary Policy Statement.
