Survey: Around 13% of German companies use AI

The ifo economic research institute disclosed that around 13 percent of German businesses are presently utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), with approximately 9 percent having intentions to implement it in the future, as reported by the German news agency, dpa.

Within the business sector, approximately one out of every three companies currently incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) into their operations or has intentions to do so. Comparatively, around 20% of businesses within the service and retail industries, as well as 15% of construction companies, are either utilizing AI or considering its implementation.

Currently, AI has no involvement in approximately 40 percent of companies in Germany. In the construction industry, this percentage rises to 60 percent.

AI-powered systems handle vast quantities of data through the assistance of algorithms to swiftly reach conclusions using automated analysis.

The ifo Institute conducted an economic survey in June where they interviewed approximately 9,000 companies on behalf of the Hanseatic Blockchain Institute. The purpose of the survey was to determine if these companies are utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), have intentions to employ it in the future, are currently discussing it, or have no involvement with it whatsoever.
